Improving funding is part of growing the climate biotech community. We at Homeworld Collective have personally met with over 500 people, we’ve analyzed 350,000 grants and publications funded by the NSF and DOE, and we’ve studied every available early stage funding vehicle. Our conclusion is that there needs to be more risk-tolerant funding for translational climate biotech, especially at the earliest stage of a project. That’s why we are launching Garden Grants.
Before creating our own funding vehicle for climate biotech, we did a deep analysis of all available funding options.
